Indication

For the dietary management of patients where a high energy, low fluid, low electrolyte, protein free diet is required.

Warnings and precautions

Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition
Must be used under medical supervision in individuals with proven inborn errors of metabolism or kidney disease.
For Enteral use only (orally or through tube feeding)
Suitable from 6 months of age onwards or as described by doctor or clinical dietician
Not suitable for parenteral use
Do not boil mixture or use terminal sterilization.
Never use a microwave oven to warm formula.
Serious burns can result.

Instructions for Use

Preparation

Measurements: 1 scoop equivalent to 5g of powder 1 scoop is provided.
Pour prescribed amount of water (boiled and cooled to 50°C) into a clean container.
Add prescribed amount of Protein Pre Powder.
Shake well for 10-15 seconds until the powder dissolves and pour the mixture into a clean feeding bottle.
Always prepare feed fresh and once feeding begins, use within 1 hour, then discard unfinished feeds.

Directions for use

Oral / Tube Feeding
Mixing ratio: Depending on specific needs of each individual, preparation will vary as prescribed by healthcare personnel, Dietitians or medical practitioner.
The daily amount of Protein pre depends on age, body weight and individual metabolic conditions.
The dose of Protein Phree is to be monitored and adjusted by the physician/dietician regularly.
Proper hygiene, handling and storage are important when preparing formulas.
Failure to follow these directions could result in severe harm.
As per the physician's direction you need to use cooled, boiled drinking water for mixing.

Storage and Product Details

Storage: Store in a cool and dry place away from strong Odors and sunlight.
Keep the lid tightly closed.
Use opened can contents within 1 month.
