Indications and Warnings

Indication

For the dietary management of Tyrosinemia Type I, II and III.

Warnings and precautions

Not suitable for use as a sole source of nutrition
Must be used under medical supervision.
Not suitable for parenteral use.
Not to be used by individuals without tyrosinemia.
For children over 1 year of age, adolescents and adults with tyrosinemia type I, II, III.
Do not boil mixture or use terminal sterilisation.
Never use a microwave oven to warm formula.
Serious burns can result.

Instructions for Use

Preparation

PREPARATION (standard dilution)
Add 13g (3 scoops) TYRo B formula to 90 ml drinking water (warm or at room temperature)
Stir well or mix in shaker.
Prepare feed always fresh and discard unfinished feeds.
Please watch dental care, especially before bedtime.

Directions for use

Oral / Tube Feeding
The daily amount of TYRo B formula required should be divided into 3 to 5 single portions (prepared with water according to instruction) and should be taken together with calculated amount of other food.
Diet with TYRo B formula must contain adequate amount of energy, essential fatty acids, phenylalanine and tyrosine to meet daily requirements.
The recommended dosage and timing of intake is dependent on the age, bodyweight, and medical condition of the patient, and should be determined by a dietitian or clinician only.
Mixing ratio - Depending on specific needs of each individual, preparation will vary as prescribed by healthcare personnel, Dietitians or medical practitioner.

Storage and Product Details

Store in a cool, dry place (5-25°C).
Always replace the lid after use.
Once opened, use within two weeks.
