Indications and Warnings

Indication

For the dietary management of Tyrosinemia Type I, II, and III in infancy It consists of a phenylalanine- and tyrosine-free amino acid mixture, carbohydrates and a special fat blend containing long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (LCP), and is supplemented with vitamins, minerals, and trace elements.

Warnings and precautions

Not suitable for use as a sole source of nutrition
Must be used under medical supervision.
Not suitable for parenteral use.
Not to be used by individuals without tyrosinemia.
For infants with tyrosinemia type I, II, III.
Do not boil mixture or use terminal sterilisation.
Never use a microwave oven to warm formula.
Serious burns can result.

Instructions for Use

Preparation

Pour required volume of hot previously boiled water (cooled down to 50 °C) into a feeding bottle
Add measured amount of TYRo A formula and, if applicable, normal infant formula, close the bottle and shake well until the powder dissolves.
Before feeding, ensure that the formula is at the correct temperature by placing a few drops on the inside of your wrist.
Prepare feed always fresh and discard unfinished feeds.
Please watch dental care, especially before bedtime.

Directions for use

Oral / Tube Feeding
The daily amount of TYRo A formula required should be divided into 3 to 5 single portions and should be taken mixed with breast milk or normal infant formula in calculated amounts.
Diet with TYRo A formula must contain adequate amount of energy, essential fatty acids, phenylalanine, and tyrosine to meet daily requirements.
The recommended dosage and timing of intake is dependent on the age, bodyweight, and medical condition of the patient, and should be determined by a dietitian or clinician only.
Mixing ratio - Depending on specific needs of each individual, preparation will vary as prescribed by healthcare personnel, Dietitians or medical practitioner.

Storage and Product Details

Store in a cool, dry place (5-25°C).
Always replace the lid after use.
Once opened, use within two weeks.
