Indication

For the dietary management of glutaric aciduria type I.

Warnings and precautions

Not suitable for use as a sole source of nutrition
Must be used under medical supervision.
Not to be used by individuals without glutaric aciduria.
Not suitable for parenteral use
Not suitable for patients with galactosaemia
For children over 1 year of age, adolescents and adults with glutaric aciduria type I.
Do not boil mixture or use terminal sterilization.
Never use a microwave oven to warm formula.
Serious burns can result.

Instructions for Use

Preparation

Pour the required volume of drinking water (warm or at room temperature).
Stir well or mix in a shaker
Prepare feed always fresh and discard unfinished feeds.
Please watch dental care, especially before bed time.

Directions for use

Oral / Tube Feeding
The daily amount of GAc B formula required should be divided into 3 to 5 single portions (prepared with water according to instruction) and should be taken together with calculated amount of other food.
To meet the daily protein needs.
Diets with GAc B formula must contain adequate amount of energy, essential fatty acids, lysine, and tryptophan to meet daily requirements.
The recommended dosage and timing of intake is dependent on the age, bodyweight, and medical condition of the patient, and should be determined by a dietitian or clinician only.
Mixing ratio - Depending on specific needs of each individual, preparation will vary as prescribed by healthcare personnel, Dietitians or medical practitioner.

Always replace the lid after use.
Once opened, use within two weeks.
