Indications and Warnings
Indication
- Food for Special Medical Purposes for the dietary management of patients with inborn errors of amino acid metabolism such as Maple Syrup Urine Disease and is used under strict medical supervision to provide the specific amounts of isoleucine unable to be achieved by dietary modification alone.
Warnings and precautions
- Must only be given to patients with proven inborn errors of amino acid metabolism under strict medical supervision.
- Suitable from 1 year of age.
- Not to be used as a sole source of nutrition.
- For Enteral use only (orally or through tube feeding)
