Indication

For the dietary management of disease related malnutrition. It provides complete renal nutrition to help maintain the nutritional status of people with reduced kidney function, who are not on dialysis (Pre dialysis).

Warnings and precautions

Use under medical supervision.
For Enteral use only (orally or through tube feeding)
Not for parenteral use.
Not suitable for patients with soya or cows' milk intolerance.
Not suitable for patients with galactosaemia.
Use with caution in children under 11 years old and do not use for children under 3 years of age.

Preparation

Shake well before opening.
Best served chilled but can also be served as a warm drink or at room temperature.
Do not boil.

Oral / Tube Feeding
Energie Shake Renal LP is a Food for Special Medical Purposes for the dietary management of patients with or at risk of disease related malnutrition.
It is a high energy enteral food with high protein and high fibre.
Energie Shake Renal LP can be used as a sole source of nutrition or as a nutritional supplement for patients who cannot or will not eat sufficient quantities of food and drink to meet their daily nutritional requirements.
1 - 2 servings per day, unless otherwise indicated by a clinician, dietician, or medical practitioner.
Energie Shake Renal LP should be used under the supervision of a health care professional.

Storage and Product Details

Store in a cool, dry place. (Not in direct sunlight.) It is sterilised in U.H.T. system.
Once opened, consume within 4 hours, or keep refrigerated and use within 24 hours. Unused contents should be discarded thereafter.
